Community Tasting Notes 12

September 2, 2020 - At first taste, not very promising, but really blossomed with air. Great Pinot. Very aromatic and complex. Balanced on the palate, light bodied but good acidity. Notes of spice, cherry and chocolate are prominent. Would definitely get again

March 30, 2020 - what a comfortable wine. cocoa and spice, soft cherry, fantastic

February 20, 2020 - What a beautiful Pinot! So elegant and feminine with soft notes of cherry, spice and bruleed sugar on the nose. Light-bodied with unaggressive yet expressive fruit, soft and silky tannins with just a touch of acid on the finish.
Probably best enjoyed on it's own or with a light dessert.

  • SchlaepDog Likes this wine: 89 points

December 9, 2019 - Smokey dark cherry flavors are present behind prominent cedar oak and spice. Fruit seems to have faded and the wood takes center stage. Previous bottle was better. Drink now.

January 10, 2019 - Nice nose with rustic red fruit, pine forest, tar, menthol, baking spices, and cedar.
Palette shows lots of red fruit up front- first plum and cherry, then transforming into cranberry and raspberry mid-palette when herb and earth notes fold into the mix. Finish shows more red fruit, light oak spice, and earth with a silky refrained touch. Nice effort, just not at that next level of refinement and elegance , should drink well from now through 2020.
