Community Tasting Notes 5

October 12, 2011 - Tired. Funk on the nose. Slight sour on the palate, though some of the fruit still shows through. Tannins are moderately low and the wine is not hard on the mouth. Though this wine has lost a lot of what it had, it still is pleasant, kind of. If you have a bottle, drink it now or you'll have to dump it

November 8, 2009 - Very, very good Pinot. Enjoyed on two occasions - excellent both times. Aroma: Cherries with vanilla, and light oak. The taste was somewhat muted cherry fruit flavors and a bright finish. Drink now!

April 9, 2009 - Slightly mushroomy and dirty nose backed by good cherry fruit. Pretty and sweet strawberries on the palate. Pleasurable and delicious pinot. A bit of makeup used but not overly. Delectable.

September 21, 2007 - Purchased off the wine list at Gabriel's in Highwood for $100. Very austere and reserved. Much more structure than fruit. Finishes scratchy. A disappointment. The '97 is one my all-time favorite Central Coast pinots.
