November 18, 2021 - needed a lot of time on the glass… where it displayed dark colours with moderate opacity.
once it started to unwind itself, faint aromas of dark black cherries, leather and tobacco wafted up. medium body on the mouth with a soft dry feel. the fruit is starting to fade but the tannins are soft and fully integrated for some easy pleasant drinking. white pepper notes on the medium finish.
may be overwhelmed by strong flavours, so choose your pairing wisely as you drink up (and drink up you must!). -

June 24, 2017 - Very smooth with plenty of fruit. No question about its "lightness". Not for special occasions, or heavier foods--but very satisfying.
