February 6, 2020 - Very good. Lovely, pure pinot fruit gently garnished with subtle oak. Fully mature. Sulky smooth on the palate, without being fat or excessively sweet. Doesn't have the depth and complexity of top producer Charmes or real GCs, but it's at least of damn good 1er quality and really just sneaking into GC.

March 23, 2015 - Nose: Cranberry, ash, tobacco, orange peel, menthol, charred oak. Taste PNP followed nose.

After 1hr decant: Awesome! Red fruit - cranberry, ripe cherry, tobacco, thyme/rosemary, still touch of menthol.

Brilliant with Arctic Char seasoned with garlic and rosemary

October 5, 2013 - Pale red, clear edges and moderately long drops.
Cherry, Wood, vanilla and graphite nose.
Cherry, rhubarb and faint wood taste.
Bright fruit, lively. Quite acidic. Faint alcohol and restrained tannins. Long aftertaste.
A bit austere, but matched well with mutton, which made it appear sweeter.

(Potel Nicolas Charmes-Chambertin) Depth, lovely depth on this nose, everything just edged with coffee before high-tones start to evolved. Sneaky concentration - this really grows in the mouth. Versus all the other wines here this was a little anonymous, everything in it's place but competent rather than excellent - I loved the nose though…
