April 23, 2020 - When first opened a lot of alcohol (15%) on the nose and very subdued fruit. Decanted and started drinking 30 minutes to 2 hours. Given some air it came together perfect! On the nose lots of dark fruit, spice, earthiness, maybe a touch of brett, cloves. On the palate more red fruits - raspberry, black cherry, lovely spice, a little stewed fruit as well. Alcohol still there but well integrated. medium plus tannins, medium acid. Long finish.
50/50 Grenache/Mourvedre. A steal at this price. I expect it to age well - it has the structure. Will definitely buy some more! -
