August 10, 2013 - 1993 Horizontal - The Papies at year 20! (The Papies, Elizabeth St, London): Another great show from this magnificent wine. We did not decant. Good golden colour, glossy, vibrant. As with our past TNs on this it is great to see full of rich ripe fruit element but in the absence of oak, pure fruit full of character balance and complexity. Lush, vibrant on the palate and nowhere near showing signs of tailing off with good ripeness and length. We said it before and we will say it again. Magical. 96

    June 1, 2013 - O.M.G! This is such a magnificent wine.
We did not decant here just served. The wine is a testament to great winemaking and patience. Aged for 10yrs in stainless steel and sees no oak, yet needs none of it. Good golden colour. The nose is full of rich ripe fruit but unlike oaky chardonnays this is pure, light on its feet and ever so balalnced. On the palate the story continues, with a lush, vibrant fruit, good ripeness and length. We can go on and on here but this along with a 1994 Haut Brion Blanc could be our best whte wine experieneces ever for us. 96-98 and simply magical

October 5, 2012 - Annual Pilgrimage to Piedmont; 10/5/2012-10/7/2012 (Piedmont, Italy): Wow! Light decanting to kick start what is a superb, elegant symphony. Good colour, glossy. On the nose it has a smoky, meaty feel that integrates well with the fruit, light exotic notes. On the palates it has a creamy feel almost to an old champagne but it is very much alive and vibrant. Well aged and simply stunning , full bodied and works very well with food. 12.5% alc. We couldn't help but buy 3 more bottles to take home. 95 easy
