December 27, 2023 - I brought this to Louis dinner but drunk on PNP. It should be left open at least 1-2 hour I believe to have a proper tasting.

April 5, 2023 - This one needs 2-3 h decanting, and then it blossoms in the glass. Black currant, mushroom, cloves and juniper aromas. Delicate, refined and true to CdB character. But one-dimensional, which is a shame for a GC level (vintage problem?).

March 11, 2022 - La Paulée de New York - The Verticals (Eventi Hotel - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Good weight and balance with meat, black fruit and earthy spice notes. Very good now. Well balanced.

April 2, 2018 - The nose was at first exotic with it’s fresh floral, spice and fruit, yet over time the ‘13 CLos de Beze lost its momentum, leaning toward earth, dried flowers and a green herbal tone that detracted from the experience. On The palate, I found soft textures on a medium-bodied frame with notes of tart red berry and herbs, as unruly tannin presented an angular and gruff expression. The finish was long, showing bitter herbs with hints of inner florals and lasting tannin. The ‘13 comes across as unbalanced like an unruly teenager that can’t find its place among the surrounding vintages.
