    October 16, 2021 - From a magnum.
Classic Cabernet Franc bouquet and taste. Drinking like a top class Bordeaux tonight - exceptional. Rounded out a little after an hour of air - wonderful. The best Cab Franc in the valley, and drinking very well now.

December 7, 2020 - I managed to stay away from this one for almost two years. And wow, what a wine this is! No reservations I would give this one a 97 or 98 as this is a true embodiment of Cabernet Franc at his absolute finest and literally at the perfect time to drink. This wine is ready to go. Full bodied, raspberry pie, rose petals and pink flowers right in your face like perfume. Finishes with good acidity, and has a white pepper type of note on the finish. One of my favorite producers in Napa, and when they make wines like this they could easily go toe-to-toe with the noticeable increase of $100 plus cab Frank, this one will likely blow it away at 1/2 to 1/3 of the cost. These wines are made with pride, and priced so that all can enjoy. If you have these in your cellar, drink on them now. They are in an amazing spot!!

January 29, 2019 - Last tasted a bit over 2 years ago. A very nice wine from "the damned" 2011 vintage. Wine has grown a bit since January 2017. Rating from 91 then to 93 now. Nose of dried wildflowers and spice. Black cherry cola entry, graphite, spice, medium + bodied wine in the front with a hint of green pepper in the middle yet the core is unmistakably black cherry. A dusty yet fruity finish. Could not ask for more. Good acidity from start to finish and went well with food and by itself as well. Very intrigued by this wine. Have 1 more left and really think it has more growing up to do.

December 17, 2018 - Elegant and nicely structured red, not as good as the '10 Cab I had a few days ago from the same producer but quite nice. Drinking well now.

December 7, 2018 - Wine Old-Timers Lunch (Charles Krug Winery Carriage Hose): Perfectly developed and it its prime. Great with the lunch.
