September 6, 2016 - Cheap Pinot session (Extra Space): Tasted blind. Pop and poured. Drank over 1 hour.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with flamboyant aromas of candied sweet spices, perfume, stems, garden herbs, red fruit. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of fresh garden herbs, stems, candied sweet spices, bright red cherries, strawberries, raspberries. Long finish.
Good quality. Rather Beaujolais-like, I was guessing this was an Old World very cool climate Pinot Noir. Enjoyable easy drink rather than anything too serious. Drink up young and fresh.1 person found this helpful Comment -
