May 12, 2023 - Deep purple. Meat and tobacco on the nose. On the palate high alcohol, medium acidity, full body. Chocolate, black cherries, black plums, black pepper, sage. Still drinking young. A bit hot and a bit sweet for my palate, but still delicious.

February 17, 2018 - This bottle was especially good; even better on day 2. Fruit; acid, mouthfeel and tannin were all in super balance. Briary berries, big full and complex fruit on the middle and a superb tannic and briary fruit on the finish. Once again, I have found that Matt Cline's Zins continue to develop years after bottling. I give this wine another ten years of great life with a peak in another year or two.
