Community Tasting Notes 10

January 26, 2016 - Nose of dried black cherry along with those northern Italian notes of leather, tobacco, and sweet chestnuts that I often perceive in valpollicella wines. The palate tastes of dark fruits, dried figs, and some of that raisiny quality that are sononomous with the process of pasamiento. The finish is long and balanced at first but is starting to separate out with a reminder of heat from the high alcohol that lingers after swallowing. Delicious and probably not getting better so drink up.

June 30, 2010 - Dried red cherries and plums on the nose. Smooth tannins but a bit thin.

January 19, 2009 - Tannic, classic fruit with some licorice. Beautiful, lighter bodied, dancing fruit...smacks a little of watermelon on the finish. Lovely!
