October 8, 2017 - A wine that requires good provenance. Luckily we had it from the AAA cellar of Lithinion in Athens.
According to the owner of the restaurant this wine went through a closed period and is finally getting into its full stride. And indeed it delivers. Well evolved wine and this can give a run for their money to a good barolo or burgundy albeit a lot more evolved. Dark cherry notes, light smoky, very complex on the nose. Similarly on the palate, light herby at times a bith old syrah feel. Very special and a solid 93-94. We do need to also mention that we rarely get this impressed by late 90s early 2000s Greek reds.1 person found this helpful Comment -

March 26, 2015 - Light tawny color, fully mature nose, elegant mouthfeel.
A beautiful medium bodied, fully mature wine for those who like mature
wines. Quite similar to a fully mature left bank classed growth- it would have to have double the years of this wine though to be equally mature. -

September 27, 2012 - Josh Kurek's birthday bash (Corkbuzz, New York, NY): Off the list at Corkbuzz. Tasted double blind. Stinky and sauvage with burnt rubber. Dark cherry fruit. Rough and tough. High acid and burly on the palate. Tart cherry, stink. Great mid-palate feel: lively but not out of balance. Tar and minerals and dark cherry on the finish. Guessed south of France or something like that. Was surprised it was Greek. Really excellent. Amazing what happens when you don't age your wine in pine! The folks at Corkbuzz rock at finding off-the-beaten-path wines that are excellent values. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 4.5/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15.5/20

September 12, 2012 - wow. A combination of barolo, cornas & burgundy with a touch of etna rosso. Medium to light body with a ton of grip. Will age, i'd love to see how this is in 5-10 years.
