October 2, 2019 - Tastes like an old Bordeaux wine. Complex.

June 10, 2019 - Nice old wine smell but a little past prime. Still enjoyable with food.

February 1, 2017 - Dark inky garnet color with hues of deep purple, medium-full bodied, concentrated and complex but silky smooth and polished, a symphony of aromas and flavors of layers of ripe blackberry and black raspberry fruits, accented by spicy oak, tones of floral lavender, and currants with hints of cassis.

    August 16, 2016 - 99 Vintage Retrospective

August 27, 2006 - Beautiful purple color when opened. Wonderful plum nose. For the first two hours, I would have sworn this was a Silver Oak -- nice oak; plum; wonderful nose; structured tannins; 20 second finish. Later, after five hours, the wine turned a dark ruby color -- almost black. A very nice, lingering cherry was left. Rich cassis; perpectly ripe cherries -- smooth, elegant finish. A very, very well made wine. Went wonderfully with our olive, feta, and sausage tuscan peasant feast, and heart of palm/artichoke salad. Enjoyed at Rosanne Cash under the stars at Red Butte Gardens. Particularly wonderful while my daughters and I fed the fish with the last orange of the sunset dancing across the green pond and the first whispers of autumn in the air. A perfect enhancement to a golden evening. P.S. The cork on this bottle was amazing -- at least, 1/8" longer than most -- high quality cork -- worth noticing.
