  July 8, 2018 - I was a little worried about this at first. Cork was terrible and crumbled into bits when I deigned to look at the bottle. Upon opening, the nose was delicate and sweet, and the initial taste was sweet, like a fruit tart, with a short finish. The wine took on much more weight as it decanted, and peaked at about the 3.5 hour mark with a nose of wild mushrooms, balsamic and floral notes and a nice long finish with fine tannins. Was fantastic with gnocchi with bacon, Parmesan and peas. All secondary/tertiary flavors at this point.

  February 16, 2018 - Deep, flavorful, and powerful. The nose is all earth and leather with a hint of balsamic. The palate is rich with earth, black cherry, and a bit of tannin. Very good wine.

  December 25, 2015 - 1992 is known as a bad vintage. So, it is indeed rather simple with a bit strong acid and long finish. But the intensity of its aromas was amazing with plum, peach jam, black raisin.
