  November 22, 2004 - Something is amiss here. The cork was mushroomed, and upon removing it there was clear staining nearly all the way up. Hmm, this was a gift from a houseguest at the height of summer. I wonder if they drove around with this in their trunk for a day? The nose gives almost nothing, just some alcohol, a hint of honey and some slightly burned almonds. The palate is almost completely flat, nearly lifeless. This is not what I was expecting, and I have to assume the wine is cooked, dead as a doornail.

  November 17, 2004 - Heritage: Nutty, sort of earthy/dark min. notes; med. bod, nice med. a’s, but still a bit round. Good food wine (w/hawaain pizza!).--Good!
