October 18, 2023 - Popped and poured. Pale garnet color. Nose of purple florals, blackberry, black plum and a bit of fresh cracked black pepper. Definitely more fresh than savory, even with 10+ years of age. Juicy and tart black fruits on the palate with medium+ acidity, medium- tannin. Medium body. Very well made and enjoyable but expecting a bit more.

June 18, 2023 - Opened this final of 2 bottles today for Father's Day, to pair with NY Strips that my son grilled for me.
Nice pairing, the wine was beautifully mature and open for business, showing off aromas of black cherry, black pepper, plum skin and mint.
Echoing on the palate with flavors of plums, black cherry and anise, tar and sage.
The acidity was nicely moderated, the tannins are resolving, the wine is very nice. Drink through 2024+.

    March 3, 2023 - Tasted over 2 hrs
    -med dark red faint purple
    -high-toned juicy dark berry plum
-med acidity, med/med- weight slightly tart dark berry mineral saline, med tannins
-lithe and focused, more on the fruit and rocks side of the syrah spectrum than the meat and olive side, on mature plateau no hurry though

September 17, 2021 - For a Cali Syrah, this is different. I find FMIII 2015 notes spot on. This is an energetic, lighter style with blackberry fruit, floral notes and some earth notes. Very nice for wide-ranging food pairings. Plenty of backbone remaining. Fruit and dark color indicates plenty of further aging possible, however, I don’t see it getting ‘more interesting’. Drink or hold.

January 31, 2021 - Bitter and tannic, no fruit, sorry to say but no good. Not quite pour down the drain but for the price its a fail. Perfectly cellared, very disappointed.

Better on day two so upping my score from 85 to 87
