  December 12, 2015 - Popped and poured, dark purple/garnet hue. Aromas of ripe currant, blackberry, smoked spices and a touch of the herbaceous. Medium-plus body. Far from being fruit-forward, this delivers dry, dusty flavors of dark fruits, mint, fruit leather, cigar box and just a touch of caramel from oak. Moderate acidity with somewhat monolithic tannins on the modest close.
  Although it's immediately apparent this could age for quite some time there's certainly a question mark over how much it would actually improve; regardless, pretty decent Cab (if completely unexciting) and, perhaps most importantly, in the modern era of ubiquitously over-ripened wine this is well-balanced enough to accompany a meal.

  August 11, 2015 - Coonawarra Roadshow (Town Hall, Sydney): Pencil shavings, red over black fruit, some sweet spice on the nose. In the mouth the wine is wet with slight fruit and slight bitterness, talc textured tannins. Meh.
