August 15, 2020 - Good wine, not too old to be enjoyed, although the fruit flavors have very much died down, if they were there to begin with. Making this very savory. I had this after an hour decanting with a juicy steak, which paired pretty well. Grew on me as I drank it.

Medium garnet color. Quite a strong capsicum & asparagus nose, plus a mineral, pencil lead aroma.

Good structure. Medium plus acid and tannins, although the tannins are very silky and coat the whole mouth. Flavor matches the nose. A little bit of blackberry. Medium+ body and finish.

    February 8, 2020 - Good, also after 20 years.
Needs to breathe a couple of hours before enjoying.

March 19, 2019 - not bad for an aged wine like this not necessarily my style but nice color, finish...
Cannot imagine improvement from here though

March 15, 2019 - Surprised this was still drinking but I guess we do tend to probably think second wines should be drunk young just because they supposedly can be (or are sold as such...) loads of fruit and decent acidity. A little too fruit forward and not reminiscent of the grand vin. Decent balance not much finish but I wouldn’t rush to buy it again and certainly would rather spend £115 on a different bottle of something at noble rot.
