September 18, 2021 - Smooth, delicious. Hint of brown on decanting.

February 12, 2018 - 2010 Coonawarra Cab: Medium+ garnet with a bright ruby core and narrow clear garnet rim. Medium tar on the nose. Developing. Pronounced and concentrated chocolate, tar, dried plum and vanilla on the palate. Dry, full body, m+ solid ripe tannin, high acidity, high alcohol. Solid dried plum and tar with a hint of pencil Shaving and dried tobacco in the very long finish. Good balance, full body and high but well integrated alcohol , very good length, good intensity, almost good complexity. Can drink now, but can be aged for 5 more years.

November 10, 2016 - A gutsy over powerful wine of stewed blackberries or mulberries at the finish, a long finish, tannin still evident and oak . A dark coloured heavy bodied wine that will improve till 2025. i think the tannins will soften a bit, still more improvement to come but drinking pretty good at the moment.
Retasted 19/06/2018 I have reduced my points down to 93. The wine is still sound, tannin has softened and the wine softened .
    July 2019

Still sound I could smell some red dirt coming through on the nose.
Still tannins and a bit of acid on the tongue .
Revise my finished date to 2020 I doub t it will last past this.

    September 2020

    Definitely finished .

Overpowering alcohol on the nose mixed with oak yes lots of oak and it's throwing a sediment.

fruit is still there the wine is soft 2020 will see this one out .

Which further confirms to me if you collect wines and they are older that 10 years don't open them as I have not tasted one wine so far out of hundreds that can stand up after 15 years .

I have one 2005 Clarendon Hills Onkaparinga Clarendon left and I know it was finished back in 2015 .
A Meshach 2009 , 2 Command 2007 and some 2008 Ashmead still in their blue wrapper left so I guess I need to revisit these .
