January 12, 2022 - Very deep colour. The fruit is still there but my feeling that the fruit is fading was confirmed. The structure is still there but the tannins are a little more evident and very slightly ‘mouth-puckering’. It was fine with food. My wife liked it more that I did but this is our last bottle of a case and I am content to move on to more recent vintages.
I should add that this was softer and more attractive next day.

October 17, 2021 - This bottle settled quite quickly after opening and gave pleasure but, after 3-4 hours it had begun to fade. It showed more acidity and dusty tannins but less fruit. It is definitely time to drink this vintage if you have any.

April 23, 2021 - Still drinking well. Good colour and fruit on the nose. 4h after opening, it showed dark plum fruit and plum skin tannins. It seemed drier than before but was still quite complex with some fragrance on the palate. Good with venison. We’ll drink the rest of a case quite soon.

March 31, 2021 - Another (almost) annual taste of this wine. Very deep colour. Drinking beautifully almost as soon as opened. Good nose. The soft palate shows sweet berry fruit, complexity, spice and excellent balance. I have extended the drinking window a little because it has life, yet. 89+
Next day, it was even softer with an almost perfumed fragrance. Still had decent body and structure.

May 8, 2020 - This is drinking very well. Good nose. Lovely juicy, sweet dark cherry and plum fruit on the palate with spice, soft tannins, and good balance and length. It is maturing beautifully and was a good buy. 89+
Note added on Sept. 20 2020 - the last bottle (8 May) was OK but this bottle has lost some of its warmth and complexity. Good fruit and spice on the nose at first but a bit thin on the palate with acidity and soft tannin taking over. Acceptable with food (slow-cooked lamb shoulder after marinading with garlic, rosemary, wine, and olive oil) but pretty ordinary after 3h. Definitely on the way down. 87 now. The wine was stored properly but there may have been some bottle variation
