May 5, 2024 - Still drinking well. Decanted for an hour and enjoyed over an additional three. Balanced and smooth as I had hoped for a wine of this age.

June 2, 2023 - From memory with no notes taken, this is drinking well and is very typical Cos. I have had some good experiences with 1975 as a whole.

January 10, 2023 - A private dinner (Restaurant De Lage Vuursche, Lage Vuursche, NL): From an old and cold cellar, bad label, top shoulder level, firm cork. A true 1975 - with all the positives and negatives. Clean and pure nose, slightly dusty, hints of white nuts and dates, gravelly and fresh, slender and bright, dry but not drying, absolutely true to type, almost resolved tannins but still with good grip, good length on the finish with a whiff of banana - the only hint of surmaturité in this bottle. A fine specimen.

December 31, 2021 - One of five bottles opened to celebrate birth years in our group, drank alongside two Beaulieu GdLT's ('73 and '74, both DOA unfortunately), and a '78 Beychevelle and '78 Duhart Milon. I am a sentimental fan of Cos, so this was my favorite of the trio, but it was noticeably more fatigued than either of the '78s. Trademark '75 profile, with firm dry tannins and muted fruit, but still pretty, with abundant cedar, Asian spice and cherry notes. The oldest Cos I've tried to date, and still drinking well, but unfortunately my only bottle.
