November 16, 2013 - perfectly enjoyable. good acidity, no signs of premature aging, a bit past its prime perhaps but still lovely notes of citrus and spice. Paired quite well with truffle scented bean and shitake crostini

June 22, 2009 - A very nice Puligny, this was served a bit too cold, but gained in interest with warming. Bottle, fill and cork all excellent, this wine was not showing any signs of premature aging. We drank this rather quickly with a slightly salty feta and olives (not the most objective test of a wine) and it was very enjoyable. Probably best suited to chicken or fish perhaps with cream or butter to match the acidity.

August 27, 2007 - Served at cellar temprature. The color is intensely golden and showing darker than it should. Somewhat shy nose with citrus and crushed flowers. With time, chopped nuts, butterscotch and orange peel emerge on the nose and palate. Not as rich bodied as I would have expected and the finish is a bit short. The experts with me tell me this wine was definateky prematurly aging. It did not taste maderized to my palate, but I agree it seemed evolved. Enjoyable but not great.

May 15, 2007 - Jadot Chevalier-Montrachet "Demoiselles" Vertical 1989-2004 (Spring - Chicago IL): Our only 1er Cru of the evening, this wine held its own nicely. According to Coates, this lieu-dit within Puligny-Montrachet Caillerets is immediately underneath Chevalier-Montrachet. If I'm not mistaken, the Jadot and Latour Demoiselles plots of Chevalier Montrachet were once included in Caillerets before their elevation to Grand Cru. This bottle had great aromatics and fruit and frankly more depth and spice tonight than the Jadot Grand Cru from the same vintage. I know this producer is having some real issues with various cuvees and vintages showing oxidation, but no problems here tonight.
