March 15, 2021 - 1hr decant while finishing off a Booker estate of the same year that was on the downside of its drinking window; this HS BN Syrah is ready to go and peaking now. This bottle has been untouched cellared since release and needs to be consumed; drink this year.

March 31, 2019 - Firm tannins, tight but expressive on the palate - pomegranate, raspberry, some mineral notes. Great finish. No hurry to drink the rest, a long life ahead.
My tastes have evolved since I started (and subsequently stopped) my Herman Story membership. Too much heat / cocktail wine styling across the board for my tastes, except for the single vintage syrahs which I still love and find to be a great value.3 people found this helpful Comment -

October 27, 2018 - Crazy hot on opening, barely drinkable, left bottle open overnight. Good warm weather Syrah on day 2 and 3, but not a style I enjoy much anymore.

April 11, 2018 - Double Blind Syrah Tasting (Eddie V/s): Dark sweet red fruit, blackberry, cinnamon, asphalt, licorice, toasted oak, great intensity, purity and balance. Drinking well right now as a PnP.
