September 7, 2020 - Cassis and black fruit notes with a subtle floral undertone. Chalky tannins. Chocolate, black fruit and vanilla flavors. Paired well with a rare porterhouse...better with food than on its own. 89-91 for both Domino and I.

April 14, 2020 - I waited a few years since my last bottle and was rewarded for that patience. Tannins have mellowed although still present now well integrated. A more restrained style with dark fruits and cassis without being jammy. A hint of oak, a lot of spice with a nice minerally edge. Medium to long finish. Great now and for 5-7 more years.

May 2, 2018 - From magnum. A typical well made California Cabernet. Dark fruits with fine grained tannin on the back. Reminds me of the regular Karl Lawrence bottlings from back in the day. A varietally correct wine. We enjoyed it.

March 6, 2018 - Very nice wine for the price and can age for another 3 - 5 years probably. Decant for at least an hour.

January 27, 2018 - 4th Saturday Brown Bagger (Sue's): Double blind. Opens with a gorgeous violet/floral perfume, along with cassis and black fruit. Medium tannins. Elegant, with flavors of dark fruit, a bit of oak spice, and a lingering finish. Guessed cab sauv. 92-93 pts.
