Community Tasting Notes 8

  • DanielOsman Does not like this wine:

December 19, 2020 - Sour and astringent. Poured it down the sink.

August 9, 2020 - Maybe the best Loire Valley pinot I've ever had. There was a beautiful core of red fruit, raspberry, cranberry, cherry, all delicately extracted. The turned earth provided a great backbone and was different enough you knew this wasn't burgundy but it also wasn't something new world.

April 14, 2018 - Water, diluted cranberry, cedar, and earth. Like drinking a melted red gummy bear that got dropped in a muddy puddle. For my domestic palate, this wine was a rough go for me personally. Others enjoyed it. Just know it is a very delicate and light bodied wine.

  • DanielOsman Likes this wine: 89 points

October 9, 2016 - About a year since my last bottle. Plenty of fruit in the nose. Cherries and raspberries. Diving in there is nice tannin and balanced acidity. Slightly tart fruit and a little minerality. Doesn't appear to have developed much in the last year so will likely give it longer till I try again.

  • UK Don Likes this wine: 90 points

March 22, 2016 - Elegant, fresh, slightly simple but well made, balanced and good mid week wine!
