Community Tasting Notes 3

March 20, 2021 - The fruit is bright red and clean, but the oak is still a bit more prominent than I would prefer. This did better with time in the glass. Light translucent ruby color, a soft and alluring rendition of Richebourg that should be given a couple more years to come together - or perhaps slow ox.

    October 17, 2020 - (Blind tasting BYO)
Complex, full and very rich nose. Extremely spicy with both black and red fruit intermingling in a dense and deep way. Indish bazaar, strawberry and sandalwood. And after two hours in glass more forest floor. The oak becomes quite prominent after a while, however: coffee and toast.
Medium-fullish, fullish palate. Very balanced. Both red and dark fruit. Minerals and raspberry. Velvety tannins. So concentrated and pure. So clean and smooth and succulent. After a while forest floor comes around. But with warmer temperature the quite toasty oak (almost espresso-like) becomes more evident.
We guessed on Chambertin, Malconsorts or Richebourg. A very hedonistic and concentrated wine that will benefit from even better oak integration in 3-5 years.

December 25, 2019 - Alluring and expansive nose of violets and other blue flowers, baking spices. Light to medium-bodied, persistent fruit core, blueberries and baking spices, savoury and mineral, acid perfectly interwoven, fine persistent tannins, and such length.

Excellent, and clearly has great cellaring potential. Only opened this bottle as it had some evidence of leakage, however the cork appeared pristine and the wine fortunately uncompromised.
