Community Tasting Notes 2

April 15, 2023 - Single-varietal champagnes: Generous extra from a friend who always has to finish with a red. Correctly identified as Volnay but thought it was from a warmer vintage like 2015. Slight cola note on the nose, nice dark cherry fruit, made in an old-school style with a good amount of density, so not very new Faiveley-ish here.

November 11, 2018 - Quite closed on nose and palate on opening. Took a good hour or more before the nose developed. It is fairly light and perhaps indicative of the vintage. This wine is ok but not a real standout. Perhaps it's ok for the price.
