July 7, 2023 - Note from memory. Nose with clay, rose petals, smoke and raspberry. Very subtle and subtle and serene. Palate was very smooth, lifted with nice ripe tannins. Overall the wine seemed to be still a little closed and not fully developed. Needs at least 3 hours air or better wait for 3 more years.
March 3, 2023 - The Verticals Tasting at 2023 La Paulée (Eventi Hotel, New York): Biggest of the 3 vintages with excellent dark red fruit and medium body. Dominated by the tannin at present.

August 14, 2015 - Very pretty and stylistically very similar to the Nicolas Rossignol, if just slightly missing a bit of drive which may be due to the vintage. But overall it has good balance and purity without oak influence. Excellent!
August 14, 2015 - Our 2nd-last wine of the evening, and by now, we could quite clearly say that there are 2 different styles that we saw re. the wines tasted, pitting the Giroud, Rossignol, this, & the last wine to come in one (style) vs. the others. The Lafon was somewhere in-between. This Bouley surely delivered elegance, purity & transparency in spades. Very floral with red-cherried nose. Like the Rossignol, this had the vibrancy and uplift on the palate along with good minerality. Lingering finish too. Very nice!
