This wine probably has a lower aging potential but somehow I get the impression that the winemaker stayed away from the Parkerpower-C9dP stuff. La Nerthe, in comparison, had heaps of dark fruit where this wine displayed a lot more fine herbs in the nose, the Garrigue, and almost like a cranberry tart palate. Tannins are low but drying and I believe this is the better food wine of the two. You could probably have this to a cod with red wine sauce. This time around the Bret showed up better - barnyard and a hint of mens restroom.

  January 7, 2018 - Apparently it should have Bret-notes, but really discreet - perhaps a hint of stable. But it has a lovely nose with warm strawberries and herbs (rosemary, lavender, thyme - the Garrigue) and Rhone-typical grape-pits (which I tend to find in Crozes Hermitage and others, including in fact an Etna Rosso I had recently). Taste is medium, acid is low, tannins develop and are mouth filling. Really lovely. Probably not worth saving regarding the fact that fruit is a little on the weak side. It drinks well now.

  October 31, 2015 - Medium light bodied, slightly opaque, ruby colored, crisp and bright, vibrant slightly tart black cherry fruit with tones of tapenade and tea notes on the modest slightly astringent tannin finish.
