November 5, 2022 - The Nearly Annual Lyon 10 Year Retro Tasting #24, Wines of Washington (Lyon Again, Eugene, OR): Blind, I thought to myself of Led Zep's "Whole Lotta Love". Lots of everything w/o being over the top. I actually guessed "blend" because it was so smooth with a mix of currant, mocha and floral notes. Structure and layers were even more obvious on day 2 = 93! Now-2028.

November 18, 2018 - Paired beautifully with pot roast. Dark fruits

February 19, 2018 - Short 20 minute decant. Black fruit and light cedar notes on the nose. Cassis, blackberry and a bit of vanilla across a long finish. Tannins have settled down, but still there along with a bit of acidic tang. Not as syrupy as last bottle 2 years ago. I think this is in a sweet spot now, but will continue to go for next 5 years. Tasty WA blend.

December 31, 2017 - Following suggestions from other comments, I decanted this wine four hours and that was a great move. Straight out of the bottle, it was bright and fruity and felt a little warm going down. After decanting, it was smooth and silky with toasted cherry and almond. It still had all the structure and some of the bright acidity making me think it could still lay down a couple years but it is drinking well now.
