Community Tasting Notes 2

October 7, 2018 - Underwhelming. It has the frame of a Bordeaux, but the painting is missing. Oak and tannins dominate, and there's a hint of fruit, and some fruity acids tending towards vinegar, but after a couple of hours of air, it's a bit thin. It's not harsh or unpleasant, just unsatisfying.

May 1, 2018 - Tasted at The Wine Society's Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon tasting, Winchester, UK. Not sure what the blend is here. The bottle shows Merlot/Cabernet, but The Wine Society marketing shows Cabernet/Merlot. Neither mentions Cabernet Franc. But it doesn't really matter. What matters is that this is an excellent wine which benefits from 5 years since the vintage. The colour is dark red, almost black. The nose shows blackcurrant with herbacious overtones. Excellent wine and excellent vfm.
