March 14, 2024 - Showing well, expressive and open from the pop. There serious grip at the backend, indicating there’s long cellar life ahead despite how open and pleasing it already is.

May 2, 2020 - Pretty dense and chewy but not quite open yet. Deep red cherry on the nose and palate. Still needs a few years.

October 30, 2012 - Brilliant cherry color is a surprise, great depth and balance, this is to pop and pour now. Had decanted for some hours but declining remarkably, to drink up next 2-4 yrs.

June 26, 2012 - Burgundy WIMPS (The Ledbury, Notting Hill, London): Notes becoming a touch sparse at this time, but this was rich with plum and blackberry fruit, plenty of vanilla and spice, quite attractive on the nose but rather dominated by its big, furry tannins on the palate.

June 22, 2008 - Dark colour. Flavours of black fruits (blackberries, jostaberries etc) and is intense with keen acidity and some length. Still vigorous.

November 19, 2006 - Big, dark ruby – much darker than all the other wines, and still very youthful looking. Big earthy black fruit nose. Big and firm mouth entry but well balanced. Great mid-palate concentration and remains in superb balance, through to a good long, but rather drying, finish. I would put some money on this turning out to be a great wine in another 4 or 5 years. Today a 4

January 8, 2006 - Not really open for business yet, but the pinot fragrance was evident on the nose, the palate still tight, but with black fruits and the oak adding richness - needs to be left for a while yet

Incredible dark purple-garnet. Sophisticated nose – rich blackcurrant fruit, spices meat and wood. Great fruit and balance and a great finish. Star stuff. 8.5/10
