August 13, 2023 - Decanted for only 45 min or so...could probably have used some more time. Still a bit tart but got better over the dinner hour. Dark fruits, and fine tannins. This one still has some legs and if opening now I'd recommend a 90 min to 2hr decant.

January 8, 2022 - Historic wine-making family. From an under-appreciated vintage that is entering its drinking window. Very interesting mix of cooked red vegetables, spices and honey that does hook you. A fascinating variation from the multi-faceted Cornas region!

September 20, 2021 - Well made and drinking so well now, but I was a bit underwhelmed given other reviews.
A charmer, but lacks depth and concentration.

September 6, 2021 - I agree with Dcwino - this is fully mature and drinking well. A bit chocolatey. Decent length and round at this point. I suggest you should consume the bulk of your supply in the next few years. Nice acidilty which could keep it going longer.

July 31, 2021 - Classic norther Rhone syrah nose displaying perfectly ripe black fruit, crushed blackberry, black cherry, liquid smoke, a hint of tapenade, black pepper, lavender and crushed rocks. Very good concentration, nicely layered fresh black fruit, silky and polished, good acidity, nicely integrated tannins and a long pure black fruit driven finish with a hint of black pepper and smoke at the end. This is starting to drink really well, a classic Syrah.
