August 26, 2017 - It may be that this wine is way too young to be accessible at this time. It is clearly very tannic and also closed after more then 24 hours in an open botle. There is a bitter aftertaste that mars any sense of consistency. It tastes astringent. All of this overpowers the fruit and lead to a disappointing experience. Nonetheless, I wonder whether it needs time to become a bit softer, more round in it's flavors, more pleasant overall. I doubt that I will buy it again.

October 10, 2016 - Medium to light bodied. Very light red in colour. Lovely smell of rose petals and cherries. On the palate, orange peel, cherries, plenty of aniseed, rose petals, tar. A wash of sweet berries, but ultimately a very savoury wine. Excellent tannins. Long and grippy. Nice wine.

May 27, 2016 - Pours a clear, pale red colour, with no sediment. Decanted anyway to give this a good opportunity to show itself. Quite shy, even after an hour in the decanter its quite reticent and a little simplistic aromatically. I understand this sees no oak at all, but beneath the basic sour cherry and blood orange notes I'm perceiving hints of vanilla and clove. Might just be my imagination. On hitting the palate, I'm initially struck by how lightweight this feels. But swooshing it around in the mouth reveals some very terse, chalky, black tea bag-like tannins, and some major astringency, leaving me feeling like I've just sucked on a penny and licked a roll of sandpaper.
And here is where my vocabulary just fails when describing tannins. I guess this is an educational exercise in discerning fruit tannin (or at least Nebbiolo tannin) from oak tannin, as I'd always thought oak provided the more chalky, puckering/astringent tannins. In any case, I don't think this is a very harmonious feeling wine at this point... the acidity is there, but the length is short-ish, the aromatics are subdued and the structure is disjointed. Tried this with food as well and it still didn't make sense to me. Not a fan sorry. -

September 28, 2015 - Aged in stainless steel. Shiny lighter ruby color. Pretty notes of raspberries, red currant, flowers. Opens up with some air and shows a very pure red fruit. It's lighter-medium bodied and has medium+ acidity and medium- tannin. Good length. A crisp, fresh and easy to drink Nebbiolo to be consumed over the next few years.
