August 7, 2022 - Drinking beautifully; memorable component with Dogpatch Urban Farms farm-to-table dinner shared with Denny & Kelly, Jim and Mo. Better pairing for the food than the big name cabernet I brought and also opened. Glad I still have 4 in the cellar; should be fine for another decade or so if they and I last that long.

November 3, 2021 - Dark purple/black cherry color
Ripe plum, kalamto olive, violets, iron/meat, underbrush on the nose.
Nose translates to the palate. Plum, kalamato olive juice, oxe blood, white pepper on the finish - vibrant acidity and well balanced. -

December 17, 2016 - At a Syrah or Shiraz tasting, blind. Rosalie's wine. No Girls, Chave Hermitage and my Stolpman Angeli were also on the table. This was very modern in style, lighter in color and on the palate than pretty much all of the others. Complex and approachable for a youngster. Nice wine, with food or on its own. One comment was it didn't taste like Syrah. I thought it was different, for sure, but more Syrah like than a Laurus Côte Rotie also on the table. More red and lighter fruits than the other, darker Syrahs, plenty of depth and structure. Clean, pleasant nose, no barnyard.

June 14, 2016 - I had a bottle of this last year and it needed to mature a bit more. Had again this week and it tastes all together different, much better like a great Rhône Syrah. But instead from Bennett Valley. Very nice.
