July 28, 2023 - On opening, wine was thin and somewhat bitter. Uh-oh. But no bricking and no sense of over-aged wine. After about 90:minutes the wine began to blossom. Richer, more body and serious complexity with a peppery bite. Was great with pasta e piselli e pancetta. After dinner the wine continued to improve - once again, patience pays off. Tenuta Greppo’s Rosso is the full equivalent or is better than many houses’ Brunello.

April 1, 2023 - A disappointing wine: limited acidity, feels warm and hard in the palate. Tried decanting but didn’t help much. Don’t think this has any more to give. Consume now or use in sauce…

December 4, 2021 - Over three days, which should give you a clue…. Good clarity. Looks deep ruby. Cherry and curry leaf on the nose. Tastes of cherry, chocolate and something green. Medium weight. Chalky tannins and medium plus acidity. Hard work, charmless and ultimately unrewarding.

April 27, 2021 - Opened a bit lean, fleshed out with air. A classical nose, just the right balance between earthy and fruity profile; a taste highlights strawberry and leather notes. More harmonious and fuller on the second day, but the the fruit still comes of as under ripe. A good rosso, but just that.

April 24, 2021 - Stunning wine to tapas! Given 3 hours of air before drinking. Well balanced, silkey smooth!
