January 25, 2024 - Another beauty from Paul. Drinking at peak as it starts to shift towards the secondary notes with some tomato leaf and citrus zest coming to the fore. Subtle earthy tones. Balanced and relatively elegant, yet with presence. Delicious stuff. 93-94.

February 7, 2021 - Prior bottle was nearly two years ago and this wine continues to show impressively well. Red cherry, red raspberry and spice notes on the nose with just some hints of blackfruit as well. Medium bodied, perhaps a bit more with red cherry upfront along with brighter red berries. Deepening through the middle with red raspberry and then some blackfruit notes in the background. Spices notes are there, but blended neatly into the background. Mid-body fruit expression remains a strength, but when coupled with the balancing tannins and acidity, it makes for a wine of completeness and elegance. As I'd hoped, the mid-body has opened up as compared to my prior bottle and the backside notes are better integrated. This is drinking at or near peak and while it could show some additional modest improvements, I'd drink these over the next two years or so to enjoy at this high level.

March 9, 2019 - Pretty red cherry, a touch of red raspberry and light spice notes on the nose. Medium bodied (14.1% ABV) and opened about two hours ahead of time, showing red cherry and red berry notes upfront with clarity and definition, but on a silken edge. Mid-body shows elegance and balance along with some slightly deeper notes. By four hours in, the fruit was showing a lot of expression, but on that beautiful mid-weight frame; depth and nuance without needing raw power. Backside showed good structure coupled with excellent transitional integration. As well as this wine showed today, it should be able to open up and integrate just a touch more with a bit of extra time and I'll try my next bottle in June/July 2020.

October 5, 2018 - Pop and pour. An hour in a decanter might have helped a bit, but this is more or less ready for business right now. In the glass, light clear pink at the rim, shading to clear ruby red at the core. On the nose, alternating between the usual baking spice aromatics and a note of beef blood. On the palate, silky, with lively acidity, and a taste profile that is hard to pin down - cherries, nutmeg, mint, a bit of coffee - that makes it all the more interesting. Really nice pinot.

September 21, 2018 - A little bigger Pinot then I was expected, but perfect balance. Nose was Cherry, with a little on the tart side. Taste smooth with fruit, full flavor, finish was light and medium in length, not to tight, but just the right amount of tannin's.
