  August 1, 2017 - This is my second tasting of this wine in the last six months, and my impression hasn't changed. It tastes the way classic Napa cabernets used to taste before the big fruit/ alcohol craze ( even though this is no light weight at 14.2%). The nose is perfumed and elegant; the fruit resembles black cherries and plums; and the tannins are soft and well-integrated with the fruit. Drink now or hold for at least 8 years.

  February 16, 2017 - Fairly young. Fair amount of tannins. Taste the oak. Easy on the palate. Black cherried thick skinned wine.

  August 9, 2016 - red cherry, baking spice, star anise, black leather, campfire,
  dried grippy tannins, lots of fruit. Very enjoyable wine out of the gate.

  August 2, 2016 - The wine looks garnet colored. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like burnt, black pepper, flint, pomegranate and plum. It tastes like stoniness, black pepper, burnt, pomegranate and red currant. The body is medium. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has high acidity.
