Community Tasting Notes 12

  • gunnm Does not like this wine:

December 28, 2016 - Sadly this wine has gone past it's prime at this point. Not much on the nose, sour and flat on the palate.

  • Ben Stewart Does not like this wine: 80 points

August 17, 2015 - Wine tired and past it's best before date. Showing signs of being a bit under ripe with greenness and no real redeeming flavours. Now showing burnt caramel flavours and overaged attributes.

August 14, 2015 - Wine past it's best now, Wine showing signs of greenness, we were disappointed that in the past year this wine had gone past it's best.

  • Ben Stewart Likes this wine: 94 points

August 31, 2014 - Exquisite Oregon Pinot Noir from a great vintage. A dense coloured, rich ripe berry fruit with fresh flavours and niice fine grained tannins, a wine with plenty of life left.

August 2, 2011 - French Soul, Oregon Soil...it says on the back. What a great combo. Oregon's weight, briary fruits, and earthiness married with the elegance and minerality of France. The price tag is steep, but worth the splurge for an anniversary. It took a while for this wine to open up, but it kept improving...putting on weight and complexity. A bit of initial funkiness on the nose blew off. Smooth, Long finish. The only flaw is that the fruit seems to be starting to dry out a bit, but I still like that. Great 10 year old wine. Recommend drinking now, or hold short term.
