April 9, 2021 - A beautiful deep ruby color. On the nose, dark tart black fruit as well as pomegranate, vanilla, smoke and fig. In the mouth, luxurious, well rounded tannins, (after 1h30 decant). Felt decadent, rich and complex. Paired wonderfully with a typical French Pâté de Campagne, board style supper. The pairing may have elevated the wine??? Notes of dark fruit, cherry cola, black pepper, tobacco and a hint of dill. All in all, wonderful and wish I had another bottle in the cellar.
