August 2, 2019 - Surprised by the reviews here. Found this concentrated, showing effusive pomegranate, blackberry, and boysenberry perfume and flavors. Expansive, delightfully gritty and bracing, medium to medium plus acid. A versatile food wine.

January 16, 2017 - Medium ruby-purple, tears @14% abv. Medium(-) aromas of roses, tar and barnyard. Dry, medium(+) tart acidity, low tannin, medium(+) alcohol with residual heat, medium body. Rustic palate of red cherry, kirschwasser, red berries, pepper notes. Good length but rather harsh finish due to tart acidity.
Rustic, this wine does not hang together, alcohol heat and acidity are too dominant as their is no counterpoint nor structure.1 person found this helpful Comment -

January 6, 2017 - Very youngish in character, driven by lingonberry and young raspberries, quite peppery, volatile tannins that still need time to settle down. Keep this for 2-5 years more and drink the 2013 now instead!

Beau nez sur les cerises et le balsam.
En bouche, beau fruit avec une belle acidité, longueur moyenne.
