March 25, 2024 - Fein gereift, noch keine Alterstöne. würdig gereift
    klassisch, App-typisch
    kein Kraftprotz, kein Stinker

July 12, 2023 - Double decanted off its sediment and served thirty minutes later. A good bit of bricking, showing its age. Notes of tobacco, red berry fruit and mineral. Flavors of red berry fruit, tobacco and iodine. Becomes more dark fruited as it sits in the glass. Integrated and balanced, finishing with decent length. Not a showstopper, but exactly what it should be. Drinking well now and if this bottle is representative I suggest drinking over the next few years, now to 2026, a bit longer in large format.

March 28, 2023 - Bought recently. Cork broke. Decanted for one hour. Dark garnet colour, some sediment. Dark cherry, black currant, blackberry, blueberry, cedar, tobacco, spices, cinnamon, and light smoke, with good acidity, partly resolved tannin, and very good length. Still needs time.

June 17, 2022 - Still fairly unevolved, and just beginning to show secondary development. Lots of cassis and a bit of cedar spice on the nose, along with hints of saddle leather, bay leaf and anise. Quite chewy and a bit backward, with more tannin than body at this point. Old school claret with what I guess will be a very long aging curve, but like '75s, will the structure or fruit prevail? That said, this is not as hard and unforgiving as most 75s, and there is a solid core of currant, cherry and plum fruit. However, this doesn't really personify the elegance of Margaux.

December 10, 2021 - Still has a solid core of currant and cassis, with complex notes of pencil lead, cedar, cigar box, soft tannins, long finish, a crowd favorite.
