December 24, 2023 - From an ignored and indifferently stored 50cl bottle. The color is by now a deep amber. Far less sweet than I thought it would be. There is an almost sherry - like quality to this — imagine a slightly sweet (a little more than off-dry) version of a venerable sherry and you’re getting close to the experience here. Strikingly, it still had some herbal touch to the nose — grass, seaweed, something like that — and a surprisingly fresh rainwater finish. While it is not the most complex dessert wine it makes up for that with some unexpected tastes and gets extra credit for longevity and sheer endurance after years of neglect.
Score : 93. Relative to expectations: +++ given how badly I treated it.

June 4, 2022 - Amber color, intense nose and palate of apricots, peaches and pears, honey nectar. Sweet without being cloying, enough acid to keep this 25 yo fresh. We meant to have just one glass with our sushi (paired very well) but it was so good we finished the bottle.

January 18, 2020 - Interesting nose of cold tea, sweet peach and meaty, exotic fruits. It is plump on the palate, with honey development traits and a slightly wooly feel. There’s a gentle smokiness and acidity is relatively relaxed.

October 13, 2016 - There was almost no structure to this wine- very soft in the mouth almost saline. Flavors of red apples and pears, and low acid stone fruit. The wine has a coating feel in the mouth, but is still very light on on the tongue, the finish was simple. I could see how this wine would have once been great, but it just didn't really do it for me this time around.

March 29, 2015 - Years since I last opened one, and the last, in 2012, must have been flawed. This is excellent wine - not cloying, semi-dry with dense pit-fruit notes, especially apricot and peach. A bit lacking in structure, but still lively and rich.
