August 30, 2022 - Faded yet clear cranberry and garnet color. Dark cherry and underbrush aromas. Bitter cherry flavor. Gentle, juicy, tiny bit of tannic grip and a soft acidic note to cleanse the palate. Feels like it has hit its peak. Pleasant wine.

September 8, 2020 - Gamay the natural grape from Beaujolias is a light red grape that can make refreshing wines. Having toured this region several times I came to select the villages whose Gamay wines I preferred and Julienas was always in my top 3. This really is a lovely representative of the village. Some may not enjoy the Gamay grape as it is very light, but drink it slightly chilled and it is a lovely refreshing wine. This is a very good Julienas.

August 8, 2020 - Not much has changed since my prior note, The wine is a typical Gamay, and good colour for a Gamay, very nice red. I didn't detect any sign of aging and I think will go beyond 2021 which I show as its window. Light and nice with the fish and potato pie I made for tonight.

May 8, 2020 - Fragrant, tasty, and balanced with complex minerality, earthiness and evolved red fruits. Very similar to my note from December 2016 with some additional development. Tannins are light, but acidity seems to provide the fabric which will keep this alive for a few more years. Best enjoyed with food, worked well with blackened Ahi Tuna. 90-91 points.

February 27, 2019 - Drank alongside the 2015 Morgon. This is a more typical Gamay from France, fairly high acidity quite light but a good representation. I actually preferred the Morgon to drink but it was a truly less representative wine from this region than this. I mark according to that criteria.
