September 14, 2023 - Popped and poured. This was very good, ready to go, with good secondary characteristics. Does not have quite the chops of the best vintages, but it is certainly tasty and enjoyable. Good stuff. 5-12-16-8: 91/100.

This has gotten more expansive after sitting open in the cellar overnight. Now: 5-13-17-8: 93/100.

September 10, 2023 - A perfect example of a well aged Barbaresco! Very perfumed , lots or blueberry, blackberry , creosote , raspberry, strawberry, anise , other herbs, liquorice. And a big, fulsome palate, putting all these aromas into a bed of acidity, neatly resolved tannins and sweetness of the fruit, resolving into a very satisfying and longlasting finish.

Doesn’t show any weakness, probably will go strong for many more years, but in a sweet for me, who is more on the primary side.

January 12, 2023 - Unfortunately, opened and poured. Deep ruby. A wall of creosote, tannin, and earth right out of the bottle, but it didn't take long to unleash some ripe black fruit, anise, and tobacco. Medium weight, excellent acidity, and a touch of warmth on the solidly tannic finish. This is a rather serious, somber expression of Nebbiolo which I would have guessed to be Barolo had I tasted it blind. Unlike some of the other 2011 Produttori wines, it could still use a few years to unwind.

December 16, 2022 - This bottle seemed either damaged or too tightly wound. Even hours later it showed very little.

July 23, 2022 - Mid red colour. Nose a little reductive to start despite 2 hour decant. Awkward for the first hour in glass then blossomed. Classic nose emerged and the palate softened with good depth and long finish. Definitely needs a good decant but then shows it’s class.
