July 8, 2023 - Unfortunately, the bottle was corked.

February 9, 2022 - Dark red with light bricking. Muted aromas of dark red cherries, game, brown spices and underbrush. Medium bodied palate reveals lush, savory dark berries, hung game, medium acidity, hint of toasted oak and long floral and earthy finish.

September 6, 2021 - Good, surprisingly tannic for pinot (although guess that's grand cru stuff). A little pruney, but still drinkable. But don't wait.

May 25, 2021 - I think a pinch past it’s prime, but quite lovely. Nose of sweet cherry. Palate of cherry cola and damp forest. Served with a grilled pork chop which overpowered it a bit.

November 8, 2020 - I am definitely surprised at how alive this was. The magnien still had this “old kistler” note to it as they have always seemed to be fruit based but this also was mixed with leather and smoke that made it quite tasty. Was it legendary? No. Very enjoyable if maybe needing more complexity? Yes.
