Big chocolate nose; very new world. Some alcoholic fumes seemed to dissipate with air. It’s a bit of a fruit-bomb palate, with assertive blackberries and an exotically spice edge taking it away from a Bordeaux-style wine. Medium/full weight, low/medium powdery tannins. Oak under control, medium length finish, carries the alcohol surprisingly well. Crowd-pleasing style which will hold. A bit ‘anonymous’ is the only real criticism.

April 11, 2021 - Decantered for 4-5 hours. Huge wine. Still feels young. Plum and cherry notes. reminds me of south Australian Shiraz a little. Would guess it has a long life ahead and would also guess it hasn’t peaked yet. Will try and hold my final bottle for 2+ years. 92-94
