January 22, 2023 - Man, this was good. Loads of cedar and red fruit. Medium+ body with a seamless finish and more delicious fruit with a hint of earthiness. 92-93

December 31, 2021 - Hmmmm, nowhere near as good as the last bottle I had. Decent enough, with plenty of cherry, dark fruit and cedar, but not much depth or complexity.

May 3, 2021 - Wine is coming into its sweet spot both literally and figuratively.
    Good terroir nose.
    Spicy/sweet fruit.
Graphite, figs, raspberry on a medium palate.
    Time to enjoy.

March 4, 2021 - The best bottle of wine I've had this year and an absolutely great bottle. Informal notes. N: Loads of complexity; cedar, dark fruit, spice, red fruits. P: Wow, so much going on. Cedar, more fruit, tannin, oak, red fruit, red cherry and so much more. I was floored by this wine and had low expectations going in. F: Long and it really needed more time than I had. Full bodied with medium acidity and firm structure that kept the fruit from being too much. This wine tasted so young that I checked the bottle to confirm that i had the right vintage. This is as good as any big Napa wine that I've had. 96-96, easy.

February 23, 2020 - Not very good - had previous vintages and liked them. Waste of magnum money. Thin, no depth, weak flavors and a bit musty on the nose. Oh well...down the drain it went.

Update - after more consideration, this was definitely corked. No coaxing over 2 days should shed the mustiness and hollowness of the wine. To the credit of Shelia of Oakville ranch, she offered to replace the bottle without me asking for such. Very much appreciated and classy move.
