April 20, 2024 - Short decant. Dark fruit, licorice, leather, barnyard. Starts off relatively funky, cleaner with air. Good length! I am sure this will survive many more years of cellaring, but not sure it would improve.

February 10, 2024 - Showing just gorgeous at a decade old and super youthful. Inky dark, loads of unctuous ruit and black olive. Silky and balanced for sure.

January 5, 2024 - Really prominent barnyard nose. Excellent balance of fruit and leather on the palate. Medium-long finish. This is the way Syrah is supposed to be. I’ve never had a bad wine from Clape. Drinking nicely now with a bit of air to open up, but not a huge hurry.

December 7, 2023 - High toned iron game iodine. Opened up quickly. Beautiful fruit. Classic Syrah character. Balanced palette. Great texture.

July 8, 2023 - Decanted and close to peak in my view. Deep, dark and lush fruit with soft tannins balanced with a mineral and earthy backbone that almost has a burgundian feel to it.
