  December 16, 2021 - 2011 Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V. Red Wine. Alc 12.5%. 100% CS
  Decanted 2 hrs. Still dark purple
  Dark fruit profile with cassis and minerals. Moderate tannins. Not muck oak showing. The first 10 yrs have been good for this wine. No rush

  May 9, 2021 - For a winery known for its single vineyard cabs, this “red wine” blend rocked! Super balanced. Rich and lush mouthfeel without being over-powering. Enjoyed very much!

  June 10, 2018 - This is tasting perfectly after 30 mins open time. Elegant and balanced, lighter on the palette with lingering tannins. Hints of pepper and spice evolve to a lingering warm cherrywood finish.

  May 14, 2016 - Don't know why, but I approached this wine with low expectations and stumbled away smiling. Predictable Chimney Rock quality - the straight SLV Cab Sauv is one of my favorite wines, so blending a little Merlot from the same vineyard just gave it an accent, a little lighter, floral flavor on the back end. Needs 30+ minutes to open, a couple of hours would be better. Should store well.
